NXP, Afa Technologies Partner on DVB-T Platform for Portable TV

NXP recently announced its collaboration with Taiwan-based Afa Technologies on the development of DVB-T (Digital Video Broadcasting - Terrestrial) front-end solutions - featuring ultra-low power consumption, low cost, and small form factor - for portable TV. DB216, the first platform to come out from the collaboration, utilizes NXP's ultra-low power silicon tuner TDA18291 and Afa's new AF9035 demodulator and can be integrated into a wide range of portable devices, such as portable LCD TVs, multimedia and DVD players, and notebook PCs.
